Despite a long history, Hunter Verdelho is a poor cousin to the
region's best-known whites, Semillon and chardonnay. This
archetypal example shows why it should enjoy greater
popularity. Fruit salad, melon and lemon blossom aromas lead
through a slightly sweet, succulent palate that finishes with a zip
of acidity and light phenolic grip. Drink over 3 years.
Food Ideas: Prosciutto with melon; retro prawn cocktail.
