Tulloch 2009 JYT Selection Shiraz - Winefront Review
Published Date:
It's mostly made from Hunter Valley shiraz though with this 2009
release, there are small additions of shiraz from the Orange
region, and petit verdot from Rylstone (NSW). Its best is ahead of
it. 91+ Points....
It's mostly made from Hunter Valley shiraz though with this 2009
release, there are small additions of shiraz from the Orange
region, and petit verdot from Rylstone (NSW). It is made to
"achieve the best wine without fear or favour of region or
variety". It's a bright, lifted, pretty wine of medium weight
and quality. Acid is high and a little distracting but the plummy,
cherried, earthen fruit flavours are delicious. It carries an
attractive line of minerally tannin and finishes fresh. There's
polished cedary oak here too, though it's a garnish to the acid and
fruit. Its best is ahead of it. Drink 2014 - 2020
